Gardening with Beneficial Insects

At our Garden workshop last Saturday, Lucian Toma, lead of public programs and volunteers at the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, said, “Create a healthy environment for our plants, one that provides a habitat for beneficial insects, allow for some imperfections”. (We have to have a few detrimental insects to keep food around for the good ones). Then we can have a garden that is healthy for us and for the wildlife that helps keep our mini-world in balance.
